Selena Gomez's worldwide fame as a performer and actress singer is undisputed. One of the shows she has participated in and which has the most successful was the Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place. Selena Marie Gomez, her full name is. She was born on 22nd July 1992, in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett is her mother and Ricardo Gomez is her father. Selena was the very first child of her mother, who was just sixteen at the time of Selena. When she was nine, Selena got her first job in show business by being cast as Gianna on Barney and her Friends. It was one of the children who got to play with the most well-known reptile, the purple anthropomorphic dinosaur. Selena made an appearance in several episodes for seasons 7 & 8 between 2001 - 2003. Selena Gomez was not the only performer to be featured in Barney and His Friends between 2001 and 2003. Demi Lorvato joined the team too. Selena Gomez left the show and auditioned for different films and shows however, she did not achieve any success. Her role was only a tiny one in the 2003 movie Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D Game Over) and a different one as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. The character in the film of Emily Grace Garcia was assigned to her for 2006's Brain Zapped, for which she wrote music.
